Technology has become a major portion of everyday life, not only in the business aspect of life, but our personal lives as well. The benefits of technology to a business are increased productivity, easier storage, improved sharing of information, and automation of functions.
Before the use of technology came about many businesses had to hire employees for tasks that could be easily done by a computer generated “robot”. For example, the demand for cashiers has gone down because of the use of self-checkout registers. The demand for bank tellers has decreased because of the Automated Teller Machine or ATM. Also the need for Telemarketers is decreasing because of Automated Telemarketers, who remain calm and positive even when dealing with angry customers.

Informational Technology is one of the most important technologies there is in business.
